Count the bullets before you fire...

Beauty does not lie in executing a goal, it lies in how it is executed .

- Senthil babu.B

Hi, hope you have read my previous blog on 'Thinking'. This is something about execution. Lets start the thing with a little knowledge sharing on how a bullet is fired from a gun. The cartridge that holds the bullets is loaded first. Before firing the safety latch needs to be unlocked. Then aim at the target and fire. While firing be sure you hold the gun firmly as a small shake might result in changing the direction of the bullet, thus increasing the inclination and missing the target. Generally the deviation occurs in the form of a few millimeters of upward inclination. This is because when a bullet comes out of the gun, it undergoes friction with air and hence naturally makes a small deviation in angle (Nature's beauty).

Ok, I hope we had enough introduction on a bullet from a Gun. Let's get back to business. Lets compare this theory with some practicality in life. It's something that deals with the execution of a job, target, aim or whatever you say to achieve a predefined goal. The beauty in a gun is its relationship with the bullet. Only the right size bullet can fit into a gun. Similarly, only right choice of decisions can help you to achieve your goal. Once you set an aim to achieve, start taking the right decision. Count you steps towards the goal as you count the bullets. An empty gun never fires, so is your goal. My dad used to say the proverb, a well beginned job is half done. Similarly, a properly decided job is almost done.

Just like you release the safety latch before you fire, Start executing the decisions only when you are clear on your safety as well as the others. In NCC, I learnt an important lesson on shooting. ie., To make a perfect shot, always aim at the center of the target. Also make sure that your hand and eye coordination works perfect. I believe this lesson holds more good for life than shooting. When you target on your goal, aim deeply into it. Here your mind and brain coordination is important.

The final part, comes in how you shoot. When you execute your plan, always make sure that you hold firm in your decision. I always believe in one policy. You can think thousand times before you execute. But never think while executing it. Modifications can be added. But the whole target should not be modified. Learning to balance a cycle while riding may be tiresome. But later it looks sweet when you do the same with a bike, before your lover. Don't hesitate while executing your plan. Or else, the outcome will diversify and result in something else unwanted.

So guys, always make sure you remain a good shooter in your life.

You will get lot of chances to shoot again and again. It just lies on how to utilise it to win in life.

After all this is life.........Enjoy it!!!!!!

Aim and Execution comparison between gun and life, thats a good one. It looks simpler to read but hard to follow every time.Once followed can achieve is for sure.....

Nice post. I thought I share a small policy I follow while I sit and code. Most of the time I am faced with controls/concepts/classes I have bare knowledge when it comes to operating it. But I have an objective in mind. It may be something definite. I set small milestones, within that, along the way; one at a time. After I've finished one I just relax. The point of relaxing is to get rid of the stress, and also get more ideas too. Something like absorb what you've just learned...There may be ideas out of the scope of my objective. I keep track of them. I can't remember all of them, and sometimes I try to repeat the way I learned things to remember what they were. But I make it a point to do research sometime or the other.
